| "Original 1956 Mercedes Benz 190SL body, mounted on a 1973 Jeep Commando 4x4 chassis, with a 304 cu.in.V-8,hydro-auto transmission with high-low transfer case and locking hubs. Original bucket seats with console and original dashboard and instrument cluster. Paint is red with saddle brown interior. It has a heavy-duty Reese trailor hitch and the wheels are 10x15 polished aluminium with 33x14.50 Mickey Thompson tires. There is no heater or A/C. The engine has a mild low-end cam,60lbs.high volume oil pump, and aluminized exhaust system. The original Jeep frame was shortened to a 95 inch wheel base and all running gear was rebuilt. Car was completed and has been driven 22,000 miles since May 1989. Owner is original builder and the car has more than 13 years of proven reliablity. Car was never abused off-road. Car handles highway speeds of 70MPH + with ease. When off-road, low range and posi rear gives all the power needed. 10MPG city driving and 13MPG or better highway. P/S, P/B,air shocks,air horn,Clarion stereo with cassette and power amp. " |
