	Holger Maass: "I work extensively with computers to keep the creative process as simple as possible. All photographs are digitally manipulated, but not all are digitally composed. Most of the time I am using computers for basic manipulation, such as tonal and colour corrections, greyscale and gamma correction and colour space transformation (RGB/CMYK). I use a Scitex Leafscan 450 scanner for high quality scans and Mamiya 67 Prof II, medium format cameras for the photography. My lighting equipment will normally consist of 3 softboxes to set up the main light and 3-4 flashlights to highlight the more important aspects of the scene. My digital compositions normally consist of several layers, photographed separately with blue screening methods. This technique is essential for getting sharpness from foreground to background and for having better creative possibilities."
