"This series of photographs
of teen pop idol Britney Spears was taken by David LaChapelle in Britney's
home town in Louisianna (sic).
Large controversey (sic) ensued after these pictures were
published in Rolling Stone, as to the 'lolita-ish' nature of the pictures.
Britney was barely 17 when these pictures were taken! The controversey
(sic) didn't stop there. It was these pictures that sparked
Britney's breast implant rumours. Like all great LaChapelle pictures,
it was great publicity for the subject of the photo!"
